Golden, crunchy perfection meets a spicy-sweet twist. These crispy chicken tenders are fried to perfection and topped with a luscious whipped hot honey butter that melts over the topβadding the perfect balance of sweet, heat, and indulgent flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
π For the Chicken Tenders:
- 1Β½ lbs chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Β½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
- Β½ tsp garlic powder
- Β½ tsp salt
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- Oil for frying
π― For the Whipped Hot Honey Butter:
- ΒΌ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 tbsp honey
- Β½ tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- ΒΌ tsp smoked paprika
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize and infuse flavor.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or frying pan to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and coat thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture, pressing lightly to help it adhere.
- Fry in batches for 4β5 minutes on each side, or until golden, crispy, and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Meanwhile, whip the softened butter until light and fluffy. Fold in the honey, chili flakes, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
- Serve immediately, spreading or drizzling the hot honey butter over the warm chicken tenders for a mouthwatering finish.
